Is PlantMate™ a fertilizer?
PlantMate™ is not a fertilizer. It is a fertilizer booster solution blended from processed extracts of natural plants that enhances the positive effects of fertilizers.
Why are home gardeners and commercial growers so excited about PlantMate?

If it isn’t a fertilizer how does it stimulate growth that results in greater yields and profits?
PlantMate™ visibly increases Cationic Exchange Capacity (CEC) in plant root systems, increasing their ability to more efficiently absorb essential nutrients and water. PlantMate also enables plants to absorb moisture and nitrogen from the air via their leaves.
What is Cationic Exchange Capacity (CEC)?
CEC is a process that stimulates the electromagnetic exchange between the root and nutrient ions of the soil. CEC visibly increases the root size, allowing greater absorption of nutrients. By increasing plant sugar, (BRIX) PlantMate helps to enhance the photosynthesis effect of the sun’s rays. The result is faster growth, sturdier plants, increased yields, earlier marketability, improved flavor, better freeze and frost resistance and extended growing and yield seasons.
Does using PlantMate as a fertilizer booster increase my costs?
No. It reduces your costs. The increased efficiencies reduce the need for expensive commercial fertilizers while boosting yields, thus increasing profits. Another benefit is the reduction of environmental contamination caused by toxic commercial fertilizers.
Are there additional benefits to commercial growers?

What are the ingredients in PlantMate?
PlantMate is a proprietary blend of processed extracts from natural plants (phyto-chemicals) such as cactus, coconuts, grass, potatoes, rice, soy, sugar cane, tree sap, etc, plus minute amounts of bio-based wetting agents. The product contains no GMO materials or ingredients grown or treated with pesticides.
What is the cost per application of PlantMate to commercial crops?
It varies according to plant or tree size but is usually less than $5 per acre. The reduced cost of commercial fertilizers needed, plus increased yields, make it an exceptionally wise and profitable investment.
Why is PlantMate so much more cost effective than other agricultural products?
PlantMate is priced as high quality soap rather than an expensive chemical.
How much increased profit should I expect?
Your individual profit increase will vary due to different markets and situations. Anecdotal reports by growers using PlantMate have reflected as little as 20% increased profits to as high as 1500% increased yield. Growers are also reporting increased profits stemming from reduced need for fertilizers and insecticides. Reduced freeze damage alone could save a season’s income.
Some examples of yields:
After mango trees at 2-week intervals, their yield soared from an estimated 50 mangos the previous season to over 800 delicious mangos: a 1500% increase!
A lime grower saw an increase from $18,000 to over $100,000 after using PlantMate at 2-week intervals.

I’ve heard that PlantMate is an insecticide. is that true?
No. PlantMate is NOT an insecticide. However, by helping the plant to produce more sugar, the plant acts as a natural insecticide to many insects. For that reason, growers report that the use of PlantMate reduces the number of crop and plant eating pests, thereby reducing the need for costly insecticide application.
Can PlantMate protect my crop from freezing?
Yes. Anecdotal field results indicate that PlantMate contributes to freeze resistance of fruit, plants and trees down to -3°C / 27°F
How can PlantMate help protect from freezing?
Agronomists suggest two reasons.
(1) PlantMate contains billions of tiny particles small enough to penetrate individual plant cells and offer protection from moisture between -3°C / 27°F.
(2) PlantMate increases the BRIX level in plants and University studies indicate that higher BRIX lowers the freezing temperature of plants.
How can PlantMate help freeze damaged plants recover?
We are unable to explain this procedure however, A nursery owner opined that the plant tissues were dying but not yet dead, the application of PlantMate helped restore life. Thus, immediate application of PlantMate may help frozen plants recover.
Can PlantMate extend my growing season?
Yes. Growers advise that indeterminate vegetables such as squash, peppers, tomatoes, etc. continue producing for much longer when treated with PlantMate.
Can PlantMate help protect against drought?
Yes. The improved root size resulting from PlantMate ability to stimulate cationic exchange permits increased absorption of moisture as well as improved absorption of nutrients. Additionally, PlantMate applied foliar increases the plant’s ability to absorb moisture and nitrogen from the air. Example: In 2011, Texas suffered the worst drought in its history. Cattle Rancher Alton Holt planted and applied PlantMate to 90 aces of oats for cattle feed. Neighboring ranchers lost their crops. Alton enjoyed an unusually bountiful harvest of oats, despite the drought. In addition to the enormous harvest, the protein content of the oats tested at 24% versus the normal average of 18.76%.
Does PlantMate work on all plants?
If a plant has roots and leaves, PlantMate will help it.”
Is there a shelf life for the product?
The shelf life of PlantMate is at least two years if it is kept tightly closed and stored in a cool, shady area.
Is there a storage recommendation when traveling in hot climates?
If users follow the recommendations for shelf life, short term travel should not be an issue.
Why stop application of PlantMate when blooms appear?
Because (a) the use of pressure applicators can blow the blooms away and (b) to avoid potential harm to bees that may be pollinating the blooms.
I’ve heard that soaking seeds overnight in PlantMate improves their germination. Should I soak seeds? If so, how long should they soak and in which product?
We recommend using care when soaking seeds. PlantMate works well on larger, hard seeds but care should be taken with very small, soft seeds as the solution can harm the germination process. Always test a few seeds before applying to a whole crop. If you soak seeds you may use one (1) ounce of PlantMate 25 per 12 gallons of water and soak them overnight.
What effect will PlantMate have on plants if it is not diluted properly?
In this case, more is not better. PlantMate is a gentle yet exceptionally powerful product. If applied in too strong dilutions it could dissolve the oily, waxy protective coating on the leaves, leaving them more susceptible to disease. The beginning suggested dilution is one (1) ounce to four (4) gallons of water for our 100% concentrate and one (1) ounce per gallon for our 25% concentrate. This dilution may be adjusted after testing.
I know that foliar feeding (spraying) is a good use for PlantMate but is it also good to use for just watering plants?
Yes. When applied via an irrigation system, dilutions vary. A dilution rate of one (1) gallon of PlantMate100 to 1250 gallons of water is a good rule of thumb.
Is there an advantage to using one application system over another?
Irrigation system application is more convenient when applying PlantMate on a regular basis, in greenhouses or on large growing areas. Some growers are now applying PlantMate weekly and prefer the results they get with irrigation systems.
When is the best time of day to apply PlantMate to plants?
Field results indicate that PlantMate produces more benefits when applied in the early morning or in late afternoon sunlight because sunlight enhances the photosynthesis process.
How soon should I start using PlantMate on my plants?
Start application as soon as the plant is sturdy enough to absorb the liquid, usually when the plant has produced at least 3 leaves or is about 5” high. Repeat applications at intervals ranging from weekly to at least once per month.
